Gary Cook Home Page

I was born in northern Colorado in 1961, the youngest of four children. Music was a part of our everyday life, and at a very early age my career as a performer began. Our first gig as "The Cook Kids" was when I was four years old. We were part of a weekly radio show on KLAK in Denver Colorado.

Since then I have gone on to perform with many different artists, including stars of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Although "The Cook Kids" disbanded many years ago, my two older brothers continue to perform professionally as well.

I have played in nearly every state in the US and currently, I am playing in Arizona for the winter months. The summer months take me back to Durango Colorado. My hobbies include playing guitar and mandolin at festivals around the country, traveling in my Eagle bus conversion with my yodeling dog Harry, and I also own a recording studio where I produce recordings for myself as well as others.
